Increasing Your Light Levels
When choosing to increase your light levels, maximizing your energy savings will no longer be our main goal. It may actually cost more each month than you save on energy and maintenance. But if it increases your safety and productivity, it is well worth the cost.
A Light Meter will be used to find the existing light levels. The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) provides light standard recommendations for each type of area. The IES Standards gives us a minimum light level requirement. You may currently meet the minimum requirements but still not have enough light for your purposes.
During a detailed Site Visit the existing light level readings will be taken. The mounting height and spacing of the existing light locations will need to be mapped. This allows for the creation of Photometric drawings to determine whether the new lights can be mounted in the same locations or will need to be relocated. Our Engineering Team will then select the best lighting to install based on your desired lighting levels indicated on the Scope of Work.
